Hi Fred, You may apply the attached patch at your end. The problem I would note is: If any module is dependent on this module,or the module overrides the on_change method, it may now be aware about the changes you do in main module.
I would prefer that you create your own module and override this method,so everything can go smooth. You will not need to change code anymore. Hope this helps.
