Ferdinand, we discussed a lot on how to efficiently organize screens
layout in OpenERP v6, and decided to keep the current layout. You should
keep in touch with Aline (apr) for such discussions. I close because
it's not a bug, discuss with Aline to see if it's worth changing the
layout, Aline will handle the roadmap for v6.1 useability issues.

Bug description:
as requested for some years now (partner days, blue prints) name fields must be
long enough to display their content
(example on usual 1366x768 laptop screens)
this is currently not the case
addons r 4600
server r 2617
this is especially true for
* account name (account form)
* partner names (partner form, most accounting forms)
* product names (invoice lines)
* adresses
* project names
* task names
* may be some others
especially in German speaking countries long names are common and hence the
current layout is not usable out of the box
