In the last version of the GTK client, the behavior is as you describe,
read only field are skip, this behavior seems good.

Bug description:
In the latest 5.0-bzr, read-only fields get the focus when clicked on and when
navigating with the tab key.
But the tab key should skip those fields instead to allow for a faster input.
