I forgot to mention I had to increase significantly my hard and soft memory limits in my webserver config. It seems the module tries to load all the products at once instead of incrementally so it needs alot of memory access right away. If you check your server logs and it says anything about connections resetting it may be due to a memory allocation or a webserver timeout error.
