Yes - this will help
No - IMHO this statement is ambigous if more than one record is found (an IMHO
it is not forbidden to have 2 or more stock.picking.internal)
new_pick_name = self.pool.get('ir.sequence').get(cr, uid,
'stock.picking.internal')

Bug description:
Example
shipping policy
* invoice from delivery
* invoice on shipped quantities
this creates TWO picking lists with the same number - IMO picking list
documents must have no gaps and must be unique.
These 2 documents have a different purpose. and a different "life"
the history tab shows these 2 almost identical lines - IMO the
both have type "out"
IMO the shipping from "Stock" to "OUTPUT" location is "internal" (move
between internal locations can't be of type "out" ?)
the "type" field should be displayed in the history list
there is NO stock journal associated for the STOCK to OUTPUT picking.
BTW it would be great to be able to overwrite/define the "OUTPUT" location in
the SO.
this would allow to deliver goods to various customer locations first
