I'm also faced this in web,gtk v5. I think it's good to import readonly field which is can store in db because when people import data they just want to keep history and view report from new system , they don't want to redo , that need to trigger workflow again that will have many conflicts.
IMHO may be have option to select like "Additional Import" in from import data that may show other importable fields.
