Report XML - can not open nor save Template Content

Bug description:
I am using report_openoffice module !! which modifies the Report XML, just
for reproducing the error, the error itself is IMHO a mishandling of stored odt
files in the widget.
GTK shows 828.36 Kb as file size (of an odt file) - after saving thed file size
is 666 Bytes.
Koo hangs trying to save
web shows 9.00 bytes
