Hello mjabirk , Can you try this alternative, as there is surely a problem that the server is not able to locate the pg_path.
go to you server \ openerp-server.conf, file change the option pg_path = None to pg_path =YOUR POSTGRESSQL PATH (example: pg_path = C: \ Program Files \ OpenERP 6.0 \ PostgreSQL \ bin) Restart the server and try again . We can create new database which means the super admin password we are trying is not wrong. To drop or backup database we have to use pgadmin. Version of server and client us 6.0.1 stable version.
