This bug is specific to that kind of Macs. So, it cannot be reproduced or worked on with other machines. FYI

The user does have the correct privileges and there seems to happen no error or interesting logs (loglevel=info) at the server. The file is not editable, but at the Finder permissions appear read-write. Must investigate a little further. Has not happened with Linux (KDE), WinXP, other Macs.
