As a proof of concept, I've just commented the line saving the attachment on the email history ($HOME/addons/mail_gateway/mail_gateway.py:131) on a playground environment, and now the CRM cases ar created automatically from email with all the attachments OK (Of course, now the email history doesn't show the attachments...)
May be the solution is to point both to a single instance of the attachment ¿?
