I have checked this issue with latest trunk as well as stable v6 on
following revision, but all are working fine.
Trunk
Server:- 3817, Addons:- 5750, Gtk Client:-2004,
Stable
Server:-3543,Addons:-4922, Gtk-client:-1914
So Would you please try with this latest revision.
Currently I am closing this issue, If you still faced the problem then
you can reopen this with more information.

Error ! You can not create recursive Menu installing marketing module

Bug description:
I try to install event module. One of its dependant modules is
marketing. When it starts the actualization i receive this error on
screen:
ValidateError
Error occurred while validating the field(s) parent_id: Error ! You can not
create recursive Menu.
Looking for in a log file i found this:

We use 6.0.3 version of openerp on ubuntu linux 11.04
Marketing version of the module is 6.0.1.0.
