Hello Kevin, I have checked your issue but we can successfully created a whole line of backorder because in stock_partial_picking.py at line no 175 the condition is if calc_qty < 0: , So If you have tried with -ve quantity then only then you can' proceed.
So I have attached a video as per your scenario and all are working fine. So would you please try with the addons latest revision (4935), and If you still faced the problem then you can reopen this.
