May be we should distinguish between * mandatory fields - obviously as these must exists for creation of a resource, every group who can create must also be able to access these fields/resources, hence these can't be invisible. * optional fields * function fields - IMHO there is no reason why a resource manger must be able to access these, apart from the fact that the layout may be broken if these fields are not included in the html as invisible
IMHO a valid approach would be to display "not accessible" for such fields, instead of raising a blocking error. Another example Product form with image for sales persons one would like to avoid transmission of the image in product form for performance reason hence make it invisible for a special sales group.
