I have checked this issue at my end,but I did not face any problem
with account followup print report.I have checked with trunk updated
code so would you please elaborate more regarding this issue.
I have attached a report pdf for your reference.

I use the demo data. I have an invoice of 500 CHF and an advance payment of
200 CHF.
Install the account_followup module and print a test print of the followup.
You will notice that the amount of the advance payment is added to the
customer's invoice. So total outstanding for the customer is 700 CHF
instead of 300 CHF.
