I think the thread sleep pause suggested by Per is a bad idea, because, as he points out, the problem could be a race condition. The sleep could cover 90% or cases but leave open a different case. A cursory look through CVS did not confirm or deny his assertion that such a condition exists. I may be able to get a chance to look at this over the next week. I will report back if I do.
