Then I extended this class and ran it. The problem is that the begin and end methods are not run if they are not defined on the final class; this is not consistent with junit. The testXXX() methods are always run, even if they are inherited (which is really useful). I propose to replace getDeclaredMethods() by getMethods() in AbstractTestCase#callEndMethod/AbstractTestCase#callBeginMethod.
