As aspectj-tools.jar is in the 'Optional properties' section of 
build.properties.sample I did not bother to set it. I'll give it one more go, 
otherwise wait two more days.

        WRT your error, itâs simple. Youâre missing aspectjtools.jar in your CP.

build from sources. But itâs not an easy processâ
        
        In any case, if I havenât released 1.6 in 2 days, Iâll upload a nightly

        What is the status of 1.6?
        I am looking for a recent build, but the nightly builds stopped at april 18, 
trying to build it myself from CVS I gave up after the build failed with:
        compile.main:
        
        BUILD FAILED
        C:\cactus\jakarta-cactus\framework\build.xml:242: Could not create task or 
type of type: iajc.
        
        Ant could not find the task or a class this task relies upon.
