I don't know the reason neither, but I agree with you that organization
is not "Maven-friendly". My guess is that as Cactus is older than Maven,
this organization made sense at the time it was created and it became
hard to fix using Maven 1.x.
So I would like to list the source code of my factory class below, and listen
to your opinions.
Sorry, I can't due it right now because I'm too busy. I mean, it would
take me a while to understand how the old structure works and then
analyze your changes. But judging from what you have told us so far, I
believe you're in the right path (hopefully Vincent will analyze and
endorse the changes :-).
