My ant version is "Ant version 1.4 compiled on September 3 2001" (type
'ant -version')
I don't understand why you say that the problem seem to be linked with the
mentioned lines in build-share.xml ? They seem very fine. I have no clue
what you problem is.
Give us more details ...

I downloaded cactus distribution :
1) jakarta-cactus-22-1.2.zip for tomcat 3.2 (servlet 22)
2) full cactus ant 1.4 package jakarta-cactus-ant-1.4-
20010925.zip
3) I configured ANT_HOME and PATH to point to %ANT_HOME%/bin.
4) I configured build.properies to point to jar files in
cactus\lib and to tomcat dir
5) I enter ant usage in build cactus dir.
6) I got the same message :
