I downloaded 1.4. The XML tag ordering problem has been fixed, but I'm still getting the same error message. I did some more Google'ing and found someone experiencing the same problem here: http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/docbook-apps/200109/msg00037.html I'm running Windows NT here at work.
