Yes, please. Do you have a CVS client (if not, I highly recommend
TortoiseCVS). Then you checkout Cactus (see
http://jakarta.apache.org/site/cvsindex.html). Then you make your
modification locally. Then you create a patch. If you're using
TortoiseCVS, simply right-click on jakarta-cactus and select "Make
patch..."

Let me ask: did you create java code to make it work? If not, can you
please describe what you modified (maybe there's no need for a patch)?
