Bah, drawing up a contract is messy, use an Umbrella company to legalise it. They will have a template contract and will even do your tax. I'm not affiliated with Apache, but I'm in IT, and in IT I get fed up with people's assumption that because you have knowledge of something they have a right to ask you about it, or, indeed, receive proactive support.
