Beatifully described. Thanks!

>I don't know to what extent the Meritxell pilgrimage is still observed.

Most of the politicians go to Mertixell on the day, as there are speeches
by the Bishop and the Prime minister (Cap de Govern).
This seems to be the big event. More than the mass or the meeting of other
people, like in the past (as E.J. Jewell says).

However, if you are in Andorra on 8th September, go to Meritxell. It is
worth the visit!

Has anyone been in Meritxell one 8th September?
I was there with my grand-father when I was young and do not remember much,
a part from politicians and some Sardana (dancing).

-- CANOLICH --
In a previous message I talked about Canolich Sanctuary (the right spelling
is CH at the end of word).
It is celebrated on the last Saturday of May. [Thanks to Deborah for the
information]
