AI for SPARC
- Delayed till Jan 2009
Design document Status - Sundar
- Final update was published - Comments welcome after final update
but no more releases will be published for review till November
AI net image, microroot, Client service discovery: Jan
- AI service choosing engine will be completed by 09/19/08
- AI service discovery engine will be completed by 10/03/08
SPARC image and testing: Ginnie
- Published results of libtd test on OpenSolaris SPARC.
- Will be testing libti this week
AI utilities: Sundar and Sue
- Sue is working on create-client and delete-client
- Expected to complete them by 09/26/08
- Sundar is working on create-service
- Completed setup_image, setup-service and partially completed
setup-dhcp
- Continue working on setup-dhcp and setup-ai-webserver
- Expected to have a working version this week. (09/19/08)
- L10N/I18N : Sundar is in contact with L10N team (Takeshi Asano)
- L10N is needed for AI tools and AI Engine.
AI Engine: Alok
- Completed most of the AI engine code related to TI, TD and Orchestrator
- The installation is completed but fails to boot.
- Expect to complete the AI engine excluding parsing by 09/19/08
- Will be working on parsing AI manifest next
- William will be working on Orchestrator and TI modification related
to fdisk and slices
- We will be installing slim_cluster and won't be creating an
ai_cluster for November
AI Web server and serving AI manifest from the web server: Clay
- The AI web server code is in code review.
- Started on the server tool that publishes additional manifests to a
service (to HTTP server)
QE: Andre & Rich
- The first version of the test document was published last week.
Please review and provide comments.
Documentation: Barbara
- The first version of installadm man page was sent to caiman-discuss
AI image:
- The microroot files and AI packages are sent to Jack and Karen
- Jack agreed to help us to produce an AI image
Issues:
1. The current version of TI cannot label SPARC disks (Deferred)
2. SPARC archives are too big (1.5 GB) (Jan) (Deferred)
3. SPARC IPS will not be available till Jan 2009
4. AI localization (Sundar to work with Shinobu and Takeshi)
