Rich,

    My comments are below.

*External Open Source Test Software:*

    - We use dns-sd tool (DNS service Discovery), which is an
open-source software written by Apple Computers
    - We also use Cherrypy (cherrypy.org), pysqlite2 (pysqlite.org) and
SQLite

*Staffing:*

    - Will there be more engineers will be added to QE? or Rich is the
only engineer?

*Glossary:*

    mDNS is multicast DNS

*Test Development:*

    - The Name and usage of the AI utilites have changed. Please check
the latest design document and update the test document
    - What does the configure_tftp do?
    - Installation tests need to verify whether the correct AI manifest
is delivered to the client (based on the criteria)
    - You may have to test the bundled AI web server, which is started
with each service
    - Negative testing for AI manifest with correct syntax but incorrect
values. For example provide a non-existent disk name in the manifest.
This should fail during the installation

*Area of Testing:
*
Installation validation: What are you planning to validate? Is it
the manifest parameters like target or comparing installation results
against an installation using slim installer?

*Regression Testing*:

Comparing the AI installation with Slim installation will not work
in the case of SPARC since there is no slim installer for SPARC.

*Performance testing:*

Our performance goal is updated in the latest version of the design
document last week. Check whether you can use the same metric.

*Required Solaris Feature Testing:*

    - We are not testing on Zones.
    - The server tools required to run on Open Solaris. So it is
supposed to run of ZFS file system. UFS is the one we don't test.

*Interoperability Testing:*

    - SPARC image won't be available in November. If this test plan is
for November, please remove Sun4V from the first line.
    - ai_get_manifests is an internal tool. There won't be a man page
for this tool.

- Sundar
