General:
- In Code review - AI web server (3440) and AI service choosing
engine (3447)
- This week: installadm, create-service, delete-service,
create-client and delete-client
- Features to be completed: AI engine, AI service discovery engine,
publish manifest, service list/start/stop
Schedule
- Planned feature complete - 10/10/08
- Currently the features for November is listed in the design document
AI for SPARC
- Delayed till Jan 2009
AI net image, microroot, Client service discovery: Jan
- AI service choosing engine is in code review.
- AI service discovery engine will be completed by 10/03/08
SPARC image and testing: Ginnie
- Published results of libtd test on OpenSolaris SPARC.
- Will be testing libti this week
AI utilities: Sundar and Sue
- Sue has completed create-client and delete-client. Currently testing.
- Expected to complete them by 09/26/08 and sent for code review
- Sundar Completed create-service and testing it. Code review will
be sent soon
- Expected to have a working version this week. (09/19/08)
- L10N/I18N : Sundar is in contact with L10N team (Takeshi Asano)
- L10N is needed for AI tools and AI Engine.
AI Engine: Alok & William
- The AI engine with IPS is installing successfully but some
configuration files are not getting transferred
- Will be working on parsing AI manifest next
- William is working on Orchestrator and TI modification related to
fdisk and slices
AI Web server and serving AI manifest from the web server: Clay
- The AI web server code is in code review.
- Will be used to serve manifests and user archives to the clients
- Working on publish manifest
QE: Andre & Rich
- The first version of the test document was published last week.
Please review and provide comments
- Rich is working on writing tests
- Beijing team will be testing the AI manifest with different values
Documentation: Barbara
- The first version of installadm man page was sent to caiman-discuss
- installadm man page will be part of the package (SUNWinstalltools)
that delivers installadm
- How to deliver articles (README) with the product?
AI image
- Jack agreed to help us to produce an initial AI image and he is
working with Alok and Jan.
Issues:
1. Code freeze is coming up soon. We need to integrate and test all
the different pieces
2. We need help with the code reviews.
3. We need to produce a stable AI image for testing
4. The current version of TI cannot label SPARC disks (Deferred)
5. SPARC archives are too big (1.5 GB) (Jan) (Deferred)
6. SPARC IPS will not be available till Jan 2009
7. AI localization (Sundar to work with Shinobu and Takeshi)
