Hi Halton,
Yes for 2008.11 that is correct as one must always have a default
manifest and so installadm list doesn't print it out.
To view that your changes actually took affect is a bit difficult.
However, you can view the change in the default manifest by going to the
webserver serving manifests for that service (http://<hostname>:46501 or,
if you have multiple services, look up the port number in
/var/installadm/service_data). Then click on default.xml to download the
manifest and see that your changes were saved.
