Docs: - Is there anything still needed for the release notes? - Nothing additional is needed for the release notes however the update instructions need to be changed to remove the section on running update_grub.
Sparc work: - We need to make changes to all the functions that do Grub menu manipulations so that if we're running on Sparc we work on /boot/menu.lst instead of /rpool/boot/grub/menu.lst. - Evan will add a list of the functions that will be affected. - be_activate() in general... - be_append_grub (should have name changed to be_append_boot_menu?) - be_remove_grub - be_update_grub - be_default_grub_bootfs - be_has_grub_entry - change_grub_default - The following should just be skipped if running on SPARC - be_do_installgrub - be_get_grub_vers - get_ver_from_capfile - Schedule - Evan to get time estimates to Jack by COB Wednesday. - Evan needs to get the schedule to Jason as soon as possible. Testing: - Complete for November. - x86 based test suite still needs to be put back to STC. - The test suites will need to be updated to run on sparc. - estimate of 2 weeks to to port tests to sparc - most testing can be done without repo. However testing for zones and pkg image-update can not be done without a IPS repo for sparc. Bugs: - Currently no stoppers... - Evan still needs to finish going through the list of bugs to see what we want to include in the January and April timeframes. - This is mostly cleanup work that we haven't got to yet. Other: - Ethan is continuing to help with various stopper bugs for other areas of install. - Currently he's helping with the 512MB memory issues. - Tim completed the work for getting the fix for 3248 back published to builds 86 though 97 while Evan is out at CEC. - Is there anything else we still need to do for this? - Evan is starting to work on the beginnings of the one pager. - We need to think about what we'll be doing for April. - One thought was that we'd deliver the code clean-up as well as getting libbe and beadm running inside a zone. - We may need to limit what we do for SNAP in the April time frame based on what priorities there may be with other projects. (we may be needed to help with other areas of install...) - A bug has been filed for the lumount/luunmount wrappers (3691)? - For package back porting the package code needs to check for the updated version of SUNWinstall-libs in addition to the updated version of SUNWipkg. - Ethan is talking to Dan about what needs to happen here. Vacations/Travel/etc? - Evan out Nov. 25 - 28, Dec 22 - Jan 5th - Jason out 2 weeks in Dec, don't know exact dates yet.
