What I meant in my reply is that we don't support setting of properties in the distro constructor at this time. ie: we don't currently support the equivalent of "pkg set-property..." Using alternate authorities like what you do below is supported. I looked further and found that if you want to set the timeout value, all you need to do is to set the env variable PKG_CLIENT_TIMEOUT to a longer value. Currently, the default is 30 seconds. Hope this helps. --Karen jklyekai wrote: > Hi,Karen: > you mention that : > At this time, the *Distro Constructor doesn't support setting of the * > *parameters*. > Please file a request for enhancement in bugster, > and we will take that feature into consideration > when we plan for our *future* releases. > -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- > do you mean that I can't set the main url to > http://pkg.unix-center.net in the slim_cd.xml file? and it will be > implement future? > Or the "timeout when distro-const" question I should do other to > resolve it? > ------------------ > jklyekai > 2008-11-18 > ------------------------------------------------------------- > ????Karen Tung > ?????2008-11-18 02:54:32 > ????likaijun > ???caiman-discuss at opensolaris.org > ???Re: [caiman-discuss] timeout when distro-const? > likaijun wrote: > > I want to set IPSto another IPS http://pkg.unix-center.net in the > dslim_cd.xml .when download files . it shows " pkg maxmum network > retries failed ?
