Enabling the manifest to be derived dynamically seems to be a solution to the problem, which is the scalability issue. > Also, maybe you can expand a bit on what "safely" means here. The intent of "safely" was to pronounce that custom client configurations shouldn't bear too heavy a burden on the server having to change. i.e. to keep the server safe from needing configuration changes (and therefore a potential mal-config) every time a new custom client configuration is needed.
