Hey crowd, Caiman/Install/pkg (led or co-led by Dave Miner) is really probably one of the most openly acting workforces on OpenSolaris.org. Today a few interesting discussions took place. I thought it would be a good idea to share them with you and request feedback and your opinion, ideas, proposals, complaints and thoughts.
Anyone who is not happy with whatever in the future, please subscribe to caiman-discuss, pkg-discuss and maybe install-discuss and contribute your analysis, rather than (sometimes) ranting against the wall, which doesn't help anybody. There we users have the opportunity to directly talk to the designers of current and previous installers (read the engineer's bio's and blogs). TIA for your suggestions. Cheers, -- %martin
