Here's a quick update on the QE status for the Automated Install
project:
- QE is experimenting with the images available so far. Start of a
real test cycle will begin once development has successfully
completed an end-to-end "smoke test" in which the most basic
install can be completed using only AI tools.
- A draft of the server configuration test assertions is available
on the AI web page at:
http://www.opensolaris.org/os/project/caiman/auto_install/
- A draft of test assertions for disk/slice selection will be
available within the next couple of days.
- Test assertions for the remaining manifest-related functionality
are awaiting final updates to the design document, which we need
to fully understand what's supported.
- Work on automating the test cases in CTI/TET will be done in
parallel with the further test assertion development and manual
execution of tests.
We'll post updates as we make progress.
