Hello,
I've got a Python package dependency necessary for A/I for
2008.11. The program is called LXML (approved OSR# 10111). I've got a test
package at xsplat:/export/backup/SUNWpython-lxml. However, I'm curious if
that name is the best name possible. LibXML2 uses SUNWlxml-* (in
particular SUNWlxml-python for its Python bindings). However, LXML doesn't
(from what I can understand) have a longer name to use, so in the spirit
of SUNWpython-cherrypy I figured calling it SUNWpython-lxml would be best.
Let me know if you have a better idea.
Next, it's far too late to integrate into SFW, so for November we
the install team will need to put the LXML package somewhere for the time
being. Sanjay and David recommended the catch all slim_prototype repo
(ssh://anon at hg.opensolaris.org/hg/caiman/slim_prototype) where SUNWclofi,
etc. live. Does that make sense for the time being?
Thank you,
Clay
