Hi Karen, Thank you for answering my question. On the Distro Constructor web page (http://opensolaris.org/os/project/caiman/Constructor/) I saw this statement:
"A future phase of the project will add the ability to generate an installable distribution using an existing installed system as its input, rather than a set of packages in a repository. This would be either an enhancement to, or replacement for, the existing Flash Installation functionality." Is this something that may be considered in the future? Thank you, Bogdan Karen Tung wrote: > Bogdan Vasiliu wrote: > >> I was wondering what the estimated schedule/release date is for the >> distributor constructor's feature that >> would generate an installable distribution using an existing installed >> system as its input? >> >> Thank you, >> Bogdan >> _______________________________________________ >> caiman-discuss mailing list >> caiman-discuss at opensolaris.org >> http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/caiman-discuss >> >> > Hi Bogdan, > > In the next 6 months or so, there is no plan for the Distro Constructor > to support > building an image from an existing system. > > Thanks, > > --Karen > _______________________________________________ > caiman-discuss mailing list > caiman-discuss at opensolaris.org > http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/caiman-discuss > -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
