You don't need to explicitly do the mount if you're 
going over /net because you're using the automounter.
Either mirror-mounts or the automounter are needed
for crossing mount points on the server.

All filesystems on the server (even child fs's) need
to however be shared. Once they're shared (which is what
Ginnie did a little while back) you should be able to
be access them via /net.

I can see them fine from an S10 system -

hostname works as well as ip address in this case.
