Hi,

All through build 108 of OpenSolaris we have been experiencing
issues with downloading and manifest control.

We have one AI Server with several services on that server. There are
three services
and of these services one service is on a subnet.

I have experienced two problems:
1) AI is using my co-workers manifests, downloading her packages and
using her password from an
entirely different service than mine tied to a different subnet. I have
installed nine times using my co-workers
manifests. (See bug 6947 attachment)

2) The install.conf zero size causes the mini-root install to fail.
When we look at that file in the server image we find that it contains
the name of one service. Two two
workers with two different service and manifests cannot install in the
same subnet as the server.

What would happen if the name in the service changed while someone was
attempting an install
from an other service, or just before?
How many different services can provide installation simultaneously?

Installadm list -n <service> provides the correct manifest with the
correct data
The correct manifests are placed under the correct process number
/var/ai/<number>/AI_data

# more install.conf
install_service=oss-108-sparc
(my service is gfx-108-sparc)
