Branding is an integral part of making a Distro and as such a Distro Constructor should make that easier However as you mentioned branding is essentially delivering packages with the right kind of images, themes etc. What is needed I think is a tool that will make it easy for users to select appropriate branding components which will generate a package under the hood. The Distro Constructor can provide a hook to launch the tool, but this tool need not necessarily be a part of the Distro Constructor. There are certain additional complexities involved apart from simple packaging, like ensuring that the branding is applied properly to the miniroot. These can all be delegated to the tool. One nice feature might be to allow browsing themes from gnome/kde/xfce...-look.org, themes.org etc. and the tool automatically bundles these up appropriately for the distro. Regards, Moinak.
