After thinking about the Version Compatibility discussion from Tuesdays meeting I started to think again about the value of the 1:1 match.
It seems to me the biggest argument against requiring a 1:1 version match is to make development easier. So I'd like to propose we discuss requiring the 1:1 match in the code but provide some way, perhaps undocumented, of just turning it off all together. This would make the version compatibility solution simpler, provide the safest environment for users and not block developers. Thoughts? Joe
