Hi Colin,

I have a suspicion here:

Try the following steps:

 From grub, press "e" to edit the grub menu.
Press "e" again on the first line, go all the way to the left, and add 
"/boot" to the front of the line (i.e., have it read: 
/boot/platform/i86/kernel/$ISADIR/unix). Press enter to accept the 
selection. Repeat the process with the next line (changing it to 
"/boot/platform/..."), and then hit "b" to boot.

Where did you get the image from?
