There are some tradeoffs either way. http://www.opensolaris.org/os/project/caiman/TextInstallerProject/media.options.txt/ I think it comes down to what the target audience for the x86 media based text installer actually is and what the various use cases are. And, I'm not sure I have an answer to either of those questions. Alok
