At time of being, only multicast DNS is supported for AI
service discovery - that means AI server and AI client must
reside on the same local link.

The workaround might be to use take advantage of
forwarding multicast traffic, but I haven't tried yet
(I think multicast capable router will need to be used,
as routing of multicast packets require special treatment),
so I am not sure if it might help you to solve your problem.

As far as longer term solution is concerned, AI will support
unicast DNS for service discovery and in that case, it will
be possible to run AI server on different subnet.
