Jack, No real comments on this spec; looks okay.
Though I have a question about a potential future use case. If/when we support pkg-based installs with our interactive installers, do we care whether or not the target image gets treated with the same set of DUs applied to the installer environment? If so, would seem some sort of caching and recording of what the ddu did would be necessary.
