Ceri:

If you look at the release notes that comes with text installer, it is
covered in item #6:

http://hub.opensolaris.org/bin/view/Project+caiman/Text+Install+b134+Notes
for known limitations, a FAQ, and a link to open bugs.

How do I install an x86 machine connected via the serial console?

    * As the image is booting, hit 'Escape' to show the GRUB menu. Then
hit 'e' and then 'e' again to edit the kernel line; add a "-B
console=ttya" to the end and boot the machine. This will have
output to be redirected to 'ttya'
