Document current state, of course. When it changes, we can update again.

Please review the fixes for:

Bug 14959 <http://defect.opensolaris.org/bz/show_bug.cgi? id=14959> - README: Step 3 (required IPS packages) - pkg names should be updated

The Bug:

The Webrev:

It's a small one but keeping the README up to date will make the life
easier of all new developers to the project.

The bug snopsis seems a bit odd, perhaps the following instead?

required ips pkg names in README should be updated

But the package names look right.

Is there a reason the few SVR4 packages in the README haven't been
published to the extra repository yet?

Shawn,

I don't know why those SVR4 packages haven't been published in a IPS
repo. Anybody knows who exactly owns this?

What makes it even more bizare is that zoneint, which is one of the 4 packages in that website has been for some time in the ipkg/dev repos. It just changed from SUNWzoneint, to be part of systems/zone/ internal.
So if one of the four is available in IPS, why not the other three?

You'd have to take that up with the ON lead. I don't see any reason they shouldn't be offhand.

Dave

The question then is: should the README be fixed to how things are currently now, or should the fix be hold pending until the ON lead gives us an answer about how they should be (and when they will be that way)?

Personally, I don't mind pushing a fix now and when ON pushes the packages to an IPS repo (if they do), updating it again.

Luis
