If you don't use Distribution Constructor for building your images or don't use Automated Installer for the installation, you can delete this message.
With the integration of Author: Jan Damborsky <[email protected]> Repository: /hg/caiman/slim_source Latest revision: 9a0c085d34e9e0fd76b9e5d51cbc5b2c82711599 Total changesets: 1 Log message: 15372 the installer needs to be made aware of Early Manifest Import changes Files: update: usr/src/Targetdirs update: usr/src/cmd/Makefile.cmd update: usr/src/cmd/Makefile.targ update: usr/src/cmd/slim-install/svc/Makefile update: usr/src/cmd/slim-install/svc/media-fs-root update: usr/src/lib/libadmutil/admutil.h update: usr/src/lib/libict_pymod/ict.py update: usr/src/pkgdefs/SUNWslim-utils/prototype_com the installers were modified to take into account changes delivered by Early Manifest Import project (EMI) [1]. The installer changes are not backward compatible which means that post-EMI installers (containing the fix) can't install pre-EMI bits. Impact ------ * Distribution Constructor If you build the images (LiveCD/AI/text installer) with install bits containing the fix, you need to make sure that Early Manifest Import project changes are pulled into the image. * Automated Installer (AI) If you do an automated installation using the AI image containing the fix, you need to make sure that IPS repository you install from contains Early Manifest Import changes. Until build 137 is available which contains EMI changes, you can take advantage of IPS repositories built as part of regular ON build [2] - the procedure how to configure pkg(5) publishers for purposes of DC build or automated installation in this scenario is described in blog [3].
