Just yesterday I had to uninstall opensolaris and install
nevada so that I could dual boot a box internally with S10
for testing...:-(

I'm not certain about AI (I was under the impression you already *could*
specify a slice in AI), but you can definitely use the text installer to
install to a specific slice.
