Hi,

Because of the way we modified multiboot1 in Legacy GRUB for network booting, it is not sufficient to use other multiboot1- compliant loaders, unfortunately.

Has anybody had any success with PXE booting Opensolaris using gpxe as loader instead of pxegrub?

I tried extracting the kernel and boot_archive from genunix.org's osol-dev-134-ai-x86.iso and using the following boot script:

==
#!gpxe
kernel http://SERVER/platform/i86pc/kernel/amd64/unix -B install=true,aimanifest=true
module http://SERVER/platform/i86pc/amd64/boot_archive
boot
==

But after it fetches the files from the server, and attempts to boot the kernel, it only shows an empty screen with a cursor for 30 seconds, and then reboots.
No messages or anything.
