It doesn't add any value to the build process. I was just
proposing "install" since the components are mostly private
to install.
However, thinking about it some more, zones will probably
want to use parts of this infrastructure as well so it's
not necessarily private to install.

the build process. Would we want to be more specific to the name of the
subdirectory under lib, such as:
$SRC/lib/install_engine
$SRC/lib/install_doc
To me, "engine" seems too generic.

No clue where python stuff ends up getting installed in ON.
Why wouldn't we just continue using the vendor-packages/osol_install
location?
We probably should, maybe even rename it vendor-packages/install.
Checking the ON source, it does seem that stuff gets delivered under
vendor-packages (zfs for example).
