This is using the latest bits on our install server(s).
It rather looks like grub has either not been installed or is not
working.

So did you actually wait until the installation was complete? This only
shows the end of the Transfer phase...

... because this usually isn't seen when you reboot from the AI image.
It tells me your install root target was still mounted at /a which
shouldn't
be the case. And also, the manifest you've used has ai_auto_reboot=true
so you shouldn't have had to manually rebooted.
... ah, so I interrupted the install because it said "Done" (leading me
to assume that it was "done" with installing) and it didn't put anything
else in the log file to let me know it was still working... I'll
reinstall and be more patient.
