Reviewing version 1.6 and some of the discussion between you and Ethan
last week, I still find myself quite confused in following the options
presented in section 5, and thus I continue to have trouble constructing
a clear picture of the true proposal. Thus, I'm feeling like there's a
need to simplify a bit.
I would suggest that support for static profiles is provided, with only
client-side first-boot inclusion (which I think is what you are saying
in 5.3.3); then choose one particular path for dynamic processing, and
concentrate on getting the rough edges of that one sanded off. Can you
state clearly what the single most preferred dynamic processing proposal
would be?
What I'm hoping to get to is a clearly-defined initial proposal, with
notes on alternatives that are not being pursued at this time, and a
clear statement of work needed in AI client, wanboot client, wanboot
server, installadm to implement that proposal.
